Country Fair
In 1919 the Devon Country Fair began selling tea from silver urns to the spectators and exhibitors. This and many other time-honored traditions of the Fair still exist today. The money raised that year and every year since has supported the Bryn Mawr Hospital. The Devon Country Fair has donated more than $12 million dollars to Bryn Mawr Hospital to date. The most recent gift from the 2007 fair proceeds was $308,000 and was used to purchase state of the art patient monitoring equipment for the Hospital’s new Emergency Department.
